AL McGUIRE CENTER - This week's women's basketball spotlight is on freshman guard Janelle Harris. The 6-0 guard from Detroit, Mich., is one of three rookies on the team this season. Harris was a four-year letterwinner at Renaissance High School where she was a teammate of sophomore Marissa Thrower. Her senior season, she led the Phoenix to the 2006 State Class B Championship while helping them to four straight regional titles. Following the state championship run, Harris earned first team all-state, All-Detroit and all-star team honors, and named Renaissance's team MVP.
