Golden Eagles Host Iona Wednesday at 7 p.m.

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette women's basketball team will host Iona on Wednesday, Dec. 1 at the Al McGuire Center. The 7 p.m. tip-off can be seen live on GoMarquette.com's all-access multimedia platform MUTube.

Following its game with the Gaels, the Golden Eagles will return to the road where they will play at Vermont on Saturday, Dec. 4, before opening BIG EAST play at No. 1/1 Connecticut on Dec. 9.

Marquette will be looking to rebound against Iona after a 63-61 loss at Creighton, which snapped MU's five-game win streak. Angel Robinson scored a season-high 32 points in the loss. Robinson leads the team with 16.3 points per game and is one of three Golden Eagles to average double figure points along with Katherine Plouffe (10.7) and Paige Fiedorowicz (10.2). Robinson has scored 20-or-more points in each of the last two games.

The Gaels are 1-4 overall on the season with its lone win coming over Brown, 73-67 on Nov. 27. Kristina Ford leads Iona with 13.6 points and 6.4 rebounds per game.

Wednesday's game will mark the first meeting between the Gaels and the Golden Eagles.
