MILWAUKEE - Marquette University junior outside hitter Ciara Jones was named to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the second time this season, the league announced Monday afternoon.

The Orlando, Fla., native helped the Golden Eagles (20-7, 10-2 BIG EAST) stretch their winning streak to 13 matches with wins last week over Illinois-Chicago, Rutgers and Seton Hall. In Sunday's match against the Pirates, Jones carried MU to a five-set victory on a career-high 20 kills and hit .475 in the match with only one error.

The win over Seton Hall marked the 20th victory this season for Marquette, which has only reached the 20-win plateau one other time (2004, 22-7) as an NCAA Division I member.

She was previously named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll Oct. 11 after helping MU to home victories over St. John's and Connecticut.

The Golden Eagles return to the Al McGuire Center for their final homestand of the regular season with the BIG EAST title on the line. MU will face Louisville on Friday at 7 p.m. before playing Cincinnati Sunday at 2 p.m.

Marquette seniors Nikki Klingsporn and Rabbecka Gonyo will be honored during Sunday's match with Cincinnati, which is also MU's 'Dig Pink' match in support of the Side-Out Foundation's fight against breast cancer.
