Marquette to Host No. 6/7 West Virginia Tuesday

MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's basketball team finishes its tough stretch of three games against top-15 teams when it hosts No. 6/7 West Virginia Tuesday, Jan. 11.Tip-off at the Al McGuire Center is set for 7 p.m.

MUTube, GoMarquette.com's multimedia platform, will carry the game live with Kent Sommerfeld and Kyle Dlabay calling the action.

The Golden Eagles (13-3, 1-2 BIG EAST) enter the game on the heels of a thrilling double-overtime win at No. 15/14 Georgetown. Marquette had five players score in double figures for the fourth time this season on Saturday led by Tatiyiana McMorris with a career-high 19 points. McMorris is one of three Golden Eagles currently averaging over 10 points a game with 10.3 for the season.

West Virginia (16-0, 3-0 BIG EAST) is currently one of two undefeated teams in the nation with its perfect 16-0 record. The Mountaineers were selected to finish second in the BIG EAST Conference behind Connecticut.

Liz Repella leads the Mountaineers with 14.1 points per game. Ali Madina follows with 13.0 points and a team-high 7.6 rebounds per game.

Marquette is 3-2 all-time against West Virginia, 2-0, when playing at the Al McGuire Center. West Virginia took the last meeting, 69-56 in Morgantown.
