Marquette Inks Margeaux Dupuy

MILWAUKEE - Marquette head women's basketball coach Terri Mitchell has the announced the signing of Margeaux Dupuy (Grapevine, Texas) to a National Letter of Intent. Dupuy will join the Golden Eagles in the summer and have four years of eligibility.

"We are thrilled to have Margeaux as part of our family," said Mitchell. "She is another great, quick guard with great ball-handling skills. She has an incredible work ethic and a drive to be the best. But more than that she is excited to be a part of our program and will do anything she can to help us succeed. She will come in and contribute immediately and her time at Marquette will be special."

A first-team all-district selection from Grapevine High School, Dupuy is a 5-6 point guard who averaged 12.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game for the 2010-11 season. A threat from long distance, Dupuy knocked down 44.0 percent of her 3-point attempts her senior season.

Dupuy also played AAU basketball for Westside Elite and DFW Elite Basketball during the summer of 2010.

She joins Apiew Ojulu (Lakeville, Minn./Lakeville North), Lauren Tibbs (Taylor Mill, Ky./Scott), Chelsie Butler (Minerva, Ohio/Minerva) and Arlesia Morse (Flint, Mich./Hamady) in Marquette's recruiting class.
