Olivia Johnson is the Opus Student-Athlete of the Week

OpusMILWAUKEE - Women's distance runner Olivia Johnson is the Opus Student-Athlete of the Week after earning Capital One Academic All-America First Team honors along with men's runner Peter Bolgert.

Johnson sports a perfect 4.0 grade-point average in Marquette's nationally acclaimed accounting program. The Milford, Iowa native also earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors in 2010, following her participation at the West Preliminary Rounds of the NCAA Championships, where she competed in the 1,500-meter run.

She was the top runner in every meet during the cross country season for the Marquette women, including top-50 finishes at both the 2010 BIG EAST Cross Country Championships and the NCAA Great Lakes Regional. She did not compete during the indoor or outdoor track and field seasons and will participate as a fifth-year senior in 2012.
