MU Looks to Snap Skid Wednesday Against Cincinnati

MILWAUKEE- The Marquette University women's basketball team will look to snap its three-game skid on Wednesday, Feb. 1 when it takes on Cincinnati at the Al McGuire Center. Sports32 will carry the 7 p.m. tip-off live with Steve True (play-by-play) and Michelle Griffin Wenzel (analyst) on the call.

It is Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night Wednesday, with all Marquette faculty and staff receiving half off admission.

The game versus the Bearcats is part of a two-game home stand for the Golden Eagles. Marquette will host Pittsburgh on Saturday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. Fans are encouraged to PINK OUT "The Al" in support of breast cancer awareness and Marquette's Play 4 Kay initiative.

Marquette (12-9, 3-5 BIG EAST) has had uncharacteristic offensive struggles in its last three games, averaging only 40.3 points per game. While the Golden Eagles may be struggling offensively, they are holding foes to 58.5 points per game.

After losing seven straight league games, Cincinnati (10-11, 1-7 BIG EAST) earned its first conference win of the season Saturday at Syracuse, 55-54. Bjonee Reaves scored the Bearcats game-winning basket with five seconds to play against the Orange. Reaves is second on the team with 12.5 points per game behind Dayeesha Hollins who leads the Bearcats with 14.3 points.
