Marquette Falls at No. 3/2 Connecticut, 94-37

STORRS, Conn. - The Marquette women's basketball team (11-11, 3-6) fell on the road to Connecticut, 94-37 on Tuesday night at Gampel Pavilion.

The Golden Eagles were led by freshman Brooklyn Pumroy with 11 points. Redshirt freshman Lauren Tibbs finished with six points and four rebounds. Sophomore Chelsie Butler pulled down five boards.

UConn (21-1, 8-1) was led by Kaleena Mosqueda-Lewis with a game-high 22 points on 8-10 shooting. Five other players recorded double figures.

MU shot 14-56 (25%) from the field and hit five shots from long range. The Huskies connected on 35-64 (54.7%) from the field, including 15-three-point shots.

The Golden Eagles were outrebounded, 43-31.

Pumroy had five points in the first half, while Arlesia Morse and Sarina Simmons had each knocked down one three apiece. MU converted 6-30 (20%) field goals in the first stanza. The Huskies shot 22-35 (62.9%) from the field and hit 10- three-point shots.

The Golden Eagles continue a three-game road swing on Sunday as they travel to Villanova. Tip-off is slated for 1 p.m. CT at The Pavilion.
