MILWAUKEE--The Marquette University women's tennis team is set conclude its fall 2015-16 campaign this weekend, Friday, Nov. 6- Sunday, Nov. 8, at the WMU Super Challenge hosted by Western Michigan at West Hills Athletic Club.
The three-day tournament features five teams including the Golden Eagles, host WMU, Indiana, Iowa, and Louisville. First serve times are tentatively scheduled for 9 a.m. CT on Friday and 7 a.m. CT on Saturday and Sunday. Pairings have not yet been revealed.
Last time the Golden Eagles took the court was at the ITA Regionals in Ann Arbor, Mich., where the duo of senior Erin Gebes and freshman Silvia Ambrosio picked up a pair of victories and advanced into the round of 16 before being bounced, 8-6, by Northwestern.
At the ITA Regional II's in Rockford, Illinois, senior Aleeza Kanner notched victories over both Bryant and Green Bay, while freshman Courtney Hebard was also victorious twice, earning wins against NIU and Green Bay.
The WMU Super Challenge will close the fall portion of the 2015-16 season for the Golden Eagles. MU will begin their winter 2016 slate with a trip to Bloomington, Ind., spanning Jan. 16 - Jan. 18, to participate in the Hoosier Winter Classic, hosted by Indiana University.
