MILWAUKEE--The Marquette women's basketball team returns home to the Al McGuire Center on Friday, which will open a four-game home stretch for the squad. The Golden Eagles host Providence at 7 p.m. Central time, which will air live on FS1 with Lisa Byington and LaChina Robinson handling play-by-play and analyst duties from the Al McGuire Center.

MU (7-11, 2-5) has won two-of-three games and returns home fresh off of an 80-64 decision at Butler last weekend. The Golden Eagles held control of that game for a full 40 minutes of play, which is the first time that has happened this year in conference play.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Year candidate Allazia Blockton is leading Marquette with 19.0 points per game and 7.8 rebounds. The Milwaukee native is the only BIG EAST player to rank in the top five in both points and rebounds, while her scoring tally is fifth-highest among all NCAA freshman. Erika Davenport has put together three consecutive breakout games as she picked up her fourth double-double of the season in a loss at Xavier (16 points, 12 rebounds) and is averaging 15 points in that frame.

Providence enters Milwaukee still looking for its first league win of the season as the Friars have dropped seven in-a-row. PC is led by Sarah Beal with 11.8 points per game, which ranks 19th in the BIG EAST. The Friars are a threat from beyond the arc as they combine to shoot 35.3 percent from three-point range, which is second in the league and just ahead of Marquette.

Following Friday's game, MU will host Creighton on Sunday at 2 p.m. CT, which will air live on the BIG EAST Digital Network.
