MILWAUKEE--The Marquette women's tennis team will look to get back to its winning ways on Saturday as the Golden Eagles travel to Boca Raton, Florida to compete at Florida Atlantic. The match is slated to begin at 11 a.m. Central time at Patch Reef Park.
MU (8-5) dropped a narrow 4-3 match to Cincinnati on Wednesday at a neutral site in Orlando. The Golden Eagles got on the board first in the match, winning the doubles point, but picked up only Nio. 1 and No. 2 singles victories in the loss.
Senior Aleeza Kanner owns a 9-1 record at the No. 5 position this season and has helped earn seven doubles victories on court three. Since joining forces, the doubles tandem of Paula Tormos Sanchez and Diana Tokar own a 4-1 record on the No. 2 court.
The Owls own a 12-6 record heading into the match and have won four straight matches following a 7-0 sweep over Rhode Island on Wednesday. Bianca Biglione has won four straight matches and is 15-3 on the season for FAU.
Following the spring break trip, Marquette will return home for its final home matches of the season. The Golden Eagles host conference-foe Creighton on Friday, April 1 at 6 p.m. CT at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium.
