Blockton Selected to BIG EAST Honor Roll

NEW YORK- Marquette University women's basketball sophomore Allazia Blockton has been tabbed to the BIG EAST weekly honor roll, the conference announced on Monday.

Blockton, who continues to lead the conference in scoring at 17.5 points per game, became the youngest player in Marquette women's basketball history to eclipse the 1,000 point threshold as a part of her 22 point performance in MU's 86-71 victory over Xavier on Sunday.

On the week, the Milwaukee, native averaged 18.0 points, 6.5 boards, and 5.0 assists to propel Marquette to a pair of crucial road wins over Butler and the Musketeers.

The Golden Eagles (19-7, 10-5) are set to close their regular season slate with a three-game home stand, beginning Sunday Feb. 19 at 1:00 p.m. Central time hosting DePaul at the Al McGuire Center.
