HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - Marquette's 36-hole 594 score (298-296) is good for second place entering Sunday's final round of the Mission Hill Spring Spectacular, hosted by George Mason at El Campeon G.C.
Sophomore Oliver Farrell (72-75-147) is tied for ninth place to lead MU's five-man lineup, 3-over-par for the event and six strokes off the top spot. Senior Henry Klongland, playing as an individual, is tied for 12th place and one stroke behind Farrell (73-75-148).
Marquette is 10 strokes behind leader TCU (301-283-584, 5-under-par) and one stroke ahead of host George Mason (298-297-595), which sits in third place.
Freshmen Matt Murlick (78-71-149, T-16) and Ferdinand MÃƒÆ'Ã†'Â¼ller (71-79-150, T-20) posted MU's sub-par rounds on the par 72 layout on Saturday.
As a team, Marquette is tops in the field with an 8-under-par score on par-5 holes (Avg. - 4.80) - MÃƒÆ'Ã†'Â¼ller had a second round eagle on the par-5 No.1 and Charlie Maleki eagled the par-5 No. 14 in the first round.
Final round play gets under way on Sunday morning.
