MILWAUKEE--The Marquette women's basketball team wraps the home portion of its schedule on Sunday as the Golden Eagles host Georgetown at 2 p.m. Central time.
The game will air locally on FS Wisconsin and across select Fox Regional Networks in addition to streaming live on the BIG EAST Digital Network. Patrick Reed and Kyle Dlablay will have the call from the Al McGuire Center.
The Golden Eagles will honor lone senior Shantelle Valentine in a pre-game ceremony set to begin at approximately 1:40 p.m. CT.
Marquette enters the game with an 18-8 record and is 12-3 in the BIG EAST and defeated Villanova 90-69 on Friday afternoon. The Golden Eagles have won three-in-a-row and are tied for first place in the league standings after the Hoyas (12-13, 7-8) defeated fellow first place team, DePaul on Friday evening in a slim 86-85 decision. Allazia Blockton remains the BIG EAST leader in scoring with 18.9 points per game, while four other Golden Eagles are averaging double digits and rank in the league's top-20 in scoring.
Georgetown is led by Dionna White with 18.3 points per contest, which is ranked second in the conference standings. Mikayla Venson is averaging 14.5 points per game, which checks in at ninth in the BIG EAST.
The Hoyas topped Marquette in the first meeting of the season, 85-58, in Washington D.C. In that contest, Amani Wilborn led MU with 20 points, while Erika Davenport added 10 points.
Marquette concludes the regular season next weekend on the road at Seton Hall (Feb. 23) and at St. John's (Feb. 25).
