The Marquette Match - Team Diener vs. Team Novak

FS Wisconsin to feature 7 p.m. CT broadcast
The Marquette Match, a friendly golf competition featuring Travis Diener, Steve Novak and other athletics letterwinners, made its debut on Monday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. CT on FS Wisconsin.
Presented by the M Club, the hour-long program features a multiple-format nine-hole event between a pair of three-man teams. Diener, Nick Nelson (MGOLF) and voice of the Golden Eagles Steve "Homer" True took on Novak, Mike Kinsella (MBB) and Austin Kendziorski (MGOLF) at Bluemound Golf and Country Club in late September, with bragging rights and donations to the M Club on the line.
Tune in Monday night to see which trio was able to come away victorious, as well as the opportunity to hear some great interaction between the players, including mostly "friendly" banter.
The M Club Golf Outing is the longest-running tournament of its kind at Marquette University and the 2020 edition would have been its 39th event, but was re-imagined this year due to Covid concerns.
The main mission of the M Club is to provide support for Marquette Athletics – primarily for the student-athletes – and to encourage camaraderie among its alumni letterwinners. More than $610,000 has been raised through the outing with all proceeds benefiting MU athletics.
The program, produced by My People Creative, will air several times in the coming weeks on FS Wisconsin and will also be available on the athletic department's official YouTube channel.
