Chris Curtin And Vesna Grbavac Honored By Conference USA

Tampa - Marquette volleyball players Chris Curtin and Vesna Grbavac were honored by Conference USA Wednesday evening here, the site of this week's C-USA Tournament.
Curtin was chosen to the All-Conference USA First Team after averaging 3.52 kills and 0.91 blocks and hitting .266. She is Marquette's all-time leader in kills and also ranks among the top five players in school history in four other categories. A senior from New Lenox, Ill., she has 18 double-figure kill matches and recorded 20 or more kills four times.
Grbavac was named to the All-C-USA Second Team after leading Marquette with a 4.54 kills average. Grbavac set Marquette single-season records in kills and hitting attempts this season. She also established a match record with 30 kills against Louisville on Nov. 7. A sophomore from Palatine, Ill., Grbavac topped Marquette with 22 double-figure kills performances and surpassed the 20-kill mark 11 times. She also had 16 double-doubles in kills-digs.
