Krunti Hester, the lone freshman on this year?s squad, has been hampered by a right ankle injury. He has not played this season, but dressed for the first time last Wednesday versus Coppin State.
Bart Miller returned to action at Baylor (Dec. 11) after missing the previous four games with a sprained left ankle. He suffered the injury on Nov. 25.
Oh Yes They Call It A Streak Marquette has made at least one three-point field goal in 329 consecutive games. The last game without a trey was against Wake Forest on Feb. 2, 1989.
The Golden Eagles are shooting 48.3% (28-58) from beyond the arc in the last three games.

The Golden Eagle bench scored 24 points, its high in 10 games, and grabbed 18 rebounds in the Jan. 2 win over Xavier.
Is There a Pattern? In Marquette?s four losses, the opponents have shot better than 40% from the field.
Protecting the Lead Marquette is 6-1 when leading at halftime. The Baylor game (Dec. 11) was the first time the Golden Eagles lost after holding the lead at the break.
Conversely, the Golden Eagles are 1-3 when trailing at the break. The Xavier game (Jan. 2) marked the first time this season that Marquette won after being behind at the break.
For Starters Marquette has used three different starting lineups this season.
John Cliff, Brian Wardle and John Mueller are the only three players to start the first 11 games.
Crean has used the lineup of Cordell Henry, Cliff, Wardle, John Polonowski and Mueller in the last six contests.

The Arena served as Marquette?s home from 1950-51 to 1987-88. The Golden Eagles have played six games in the Arena since then and are 5-1 in those contests. The Dec. 7 loss to Dayton snapped Marquette?s four-game winning streak, which dated back to the 1994-95 season.

It was the first time since the Feb. 6, 1999, game at Louisville that two players scored 20 or more points. Wardle had 25 and Cliff added 23 in the 81-77 loss to the Cardinals.
On the season, the pair has accounted for 350 points, 48.4% of Marquette?s scoring total.
Doubling Up Brian Wardle and Jon Harris each recorded double-digit rebounding games against Coppin State (Dec. 23), with 12 and 11, respectively. The last time two Golden Eagles hauled down double-figure rebounds was on Dec. 28, 1997, at Illinois-Chicago. Richard Shaw (14) and Jarrod Lovette (11) accomplished the feat in that game, a span of 62 games.
Brian?s Song Brian Wardle is shooting a team-best 52.8% from the field this season. Entering the season, his career shooting percentage stood at 36.8%. He also is hitting 47.1% of his three-point attempts, compared to a 31.8% career percentage prior to the start of the season.
Wardle has had one of the hottest hands in the country over the last five games. In that span he is averaging 24.4 points and shooting 51.9% (41-79) from the field and 48.0% (12-25) from three-point range. His 8-9 performance from the field against Wisconsin was his best career shooting effort.
He was unstoppable in the second half of the Baylor game (Dec. 11). He scored 16 straight points in the final 8:39 of regulation and hit a three-pointer to open the overtime period. Wardle set or tied career highs in field goals (12), field goals attempted (21), three-pointers (4), and minutes (38) in that game.
Twenty-Something Brian Wardle scored 25 or more points in a four-game span (Baylor, Hampton, Wisconsin, Coppin State). He is the only player in the nation to reach 25 points in four straight games this season.
The last time a Marquette player scored 25+ points in four straight games was all the way back in the 1967-68 campaign. George Thompson, a member of Marquette?s radio broadcast team, scored 25 against South Dakota (Feb. 19), 26 versus Detroit (Feb. 17), 26 in a win over UW-Milwaukee (Feb. 14), and 27 versus Xavier (Feb. 10).
More on Wardle In addition to stepping up his offensive performance, Wardle also has been impressive on the boards over the last three weeks, averaging 8.0 rebounds in the last four games. He recorded his first double-figure rebounding effort with 12 against Coppin State on Dec. 29. Eight of those rebounds were offensive, most by a Golden Eagle this season.
Cliff Hanger Senior John Cliff is enjoying the best offensive production of his career. Cliff entered the 1999-2000 campaign with a 5.6 ppg career average. He ranks second on the team with a 14.8 ppg average. Cliff has been the team?s top scorer in four games and has reached double digits nine times. His streak of six straight double-figure scoring games was snapped against Coppin State (Dec. 29).
He has drilled 27 three-pointers, most on the team this season. He needs just six three-pointers to move into a tie for eighth place on the single season list among Marquette?s seniors. Cliff has connected on a three-pointer in 165 consecutive games dating back to last season. Cliff is shooting 44.3% from three-point land this season. His career percentage prior to the start of the season was 33.1%
The senior also grabs 4.3 rebounds, compared to his career average of 2.1 entering the season. He has 28 assists, which surpasses his total of 27 from the 1998-99 campaign.
Oh Henry Cordell Henry ranks fourth on the squad with a 7.5 ppg average. He has been mired in a bit of a slump in the last six games, averaging 5.1 points and shooting 23.4% (11-47) from the field.
Henry played a critical role late in Marquette?s win over Xavier on Jan. 2. He hit a three-pointer as the shot clock wound down to pull Marquette even at 62-62. Henry also scored the Golden Eagles? next hoop with 49 seconds remaining that put the team on top 64-62. The Golden Eagles did not relinquish that lead. In addition to eight points, he did not commit a turnover in 25 minutes.
He was held scoreless against Coppin State (Dec. 29), the first time in 34 games he failed to score.
The Man in the Middle John Mueller has started every game at the center position. On the season he is shooting 50.9% from the field and averaging 6.5 points and 5.7 rebounds. Mueller narrowly missed his second career double-double with 10 points and nine rebounds in the Dec. 29 win over Coppin State. He has gone 4-4 from the free throw line in three games, most recently against Coppin State (Dec. 29).
He notched 10 first-half points at Baylor (Dec. 11) and finished with a career-best 12 before fouling out.
Mueller recorded his first career double-double with 11 points and a career-best 10 rebounds against Appalachian State (Dec. 4).
Chairman of the Boards Sophomore Jon Harris is dominating the glass for the Golden Eagles. He is averaging 6.9 boards a game. Harris has 76 rebounds, compared to his 1998-99 total of 66. In the last two games he is averaging 9.5 rebounds.
His 11 rebounds versus Coppin State (Dec. 29) were a career high and the third time he has reached double figures in rebounds this season. It was his best rebounding total in six games.
He was an offensive spark in the win over Hampton (Dec. 20). He was 6-9 from the field and scored a career-best 15 points. Entering the game, he was just 4-11 from the field on the season.
Putting the ?O? Back in the Offense Oluoma Nnamaka returned to action against Xavier (Jan. 2) after missing five games with a stress fracture in his left foot. One of Marquette?s most versatile players, he averaged 9.6 points, 8.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists a contest in the first five games of the season.
In the Xavier game he played 14 minutes and had seven points and three rebounds.

He tied his season high with 9 boards against Appalachian State on Dec. 4.
