Marquette Preason NIT Tickets Still Available

Milwaukee -- Tickets for Marquette's opening-round Preseason NIT game against South Alabama on Tuesday, Nov. 14, still remain. The game will be played at the Bradley Center starting at 7:05 p.m.
The Marquette Athletic Ticket Office (1212 W. Wisconsin, 2nd floor) is open for the sale of Preseason NIT tickets Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Tickets may also be purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets or by calling Ticketmaster at 414/276-4545. In addition, people interested in purchasing tickets may do so through Ticketmaster's website (www.ticketmaster.com). All tickets are priced at $15. MU students may purchase tickets for $4 with proof of ID. Marquette's Preseason NIT contest against South Alabama is not part of the regular-season ticket package.
South Alabama returns four starters from last season's team that posted a 20-10 overall record and that captured the Sun Belt Conference regular-season title with a 13-3 mark. Directed by 1999-2000 SBC Coach of the Year Bob Weltlich, the Jaguars are expected to contend for the conference crown once again this season. One of South Alabama's top players is Milwaukee native Ravonte Dantzler, a senior guard who tossed in 12.3 points a year ago.
The Golden Eagles of second-year head coach Tom Crean closed out the exhibition portion of their schedule on Nov. 9 with an 85-57 win over the BC Flowtex Team from Slovenia.
