Pairings Set For C-USA Women's Basketball Tournament

CHICAGO - With the Conference USA women's basketball season concluding today, the bracket is set for next weekend's C-USA Tournament at the University of Louisville's Freedom Hall. By virtue of their first ever regular-season championship, Marquette has earned the top seed in the tournament and a first-round bye. The Golden Eagles will play in a quarterfinal contest at noon (CT) on Sat., March 4, against the winner of the previous day's #8 UAB/#9 Saint Louis game.
Should the Golden Eagles (22-5, 14-2) get past their opponent on Saturday, they will play in the semifinals on Sun., March 5, at 11:30 a.m. That game will be shown live on the Fox Sports Net. The championship game, which is being telecast on a tape-delay basis by espn2, is set for 6 p.m. on Mon., March 6.
