NEW ORLEANS (AP) - Sterling Davis scored 20 points and Tulane outshot foul-prone Marquette by 18-6 from the free throw line to beat the Golden Eagles, 73-68, in a Conference USA game Saturday.
The victory by Tulane (19-9 overall, 8-8 CUSA) snapped a two-game losing streak and bouyed the Green Wave's tournament hopes with just its fourth victory in the past 10 games.
Marquette (15-12, 8-8), which led 39-34 at halftime, committed 20 fouls in the game and Tulane went 18-for-25 from the foul line, making 15-of-20 foul shots in its second-half comeback.
Dylan Osean, who made 4-of-4 3-point attempts, added 18 points for Tulane and Morris Jordan added 12.
Marquette's John Cliff got 18 of his 23 points from long range. He was joined in double figures by Briuan Wardle with 1 points, Oluoma Nnamaka with 11 and Cordell Henry with 10.
