Tim Jacobs Named Golf Team's MVP

Senior Tim Jacobs (McHenry, Ill.) was named the Most Valuable Player of the Marquette golf team at the school's All-Sports Banquet on Wednesday, April 26.

Jacobs enjoyed a fine season and ranked second on the team in stroke average with a mark of 76.8 over 16 rounds of action. His score of 217 at the prestigious Kauai Collegiate Cup was the team's best effort of the year for a 54-hole event and placed him fourth at that competition.

He helped the Golden Eagles record of a first-place finish at the Billiken Invitational after finishing sixth overall with a 36-hole showing of 150.
