Colson Sits Second With One Round Remaining at Hillman Robbins

MILLINGTON, Tenn -- Freshman Nathan Colson, in his second career collegiate tournament, fired a two round 140 (-4) and is two shots off the lead at the Hillman Robbins Intercollegiate in Millington, Tenn.
Colson shot a 68 int he first 18 to be the leader through round one. Derek Brown of UNC-Wilmington was tied with Colson after round one, but shot a 70 compared to Colson's 72, in the second round to take the overall lead.
While Colson was perched near the top of the leaderboard, Marquette wasn't as fortunate as a team. The Golden Eagles were in 12th place after 36 holes with a 34-over, 610. Arkansas State led the overall standings with a one-over, 577.
Marquette also got a strong performance from Matt Hilton, who finished the 36 holes in 31st place. He shot a six-over, 150.
Freshman Grant Weseley shot a 155 to finish the day in 34th place. Rounding out the score card for Marquette was Mike Everson in 76th place with a 166. Freshman Dan Sova finished in 79th place at 170.
