No. 17 Men's Basketball Routs Dayton, 73-51

MILWAUKEE (AP) - Dwyane Wade scored 17 points and Cordell Henry added 14 Wednesday night as No. 17 Marquette pulled away in the second half and remained undefeated with a 73-51 victory over Dayton.
Marquette (8-0) is off to its best start since the 1997-98 season when it won its first 10 games. The Golden Eagles' ranking is their highest since Feb. 9, 1993, when they were 15th.
Ramod Marshall and David Morris each had 10 points for the Flyers (3-3), who are unbeaten at home and winless on the road this season.
Morris opened the second half with a 3-pointer to pull Dayton within 35-32, but the Golden Eagles responded with a 12-0 run. Wade had eight points during the run that put Marquette up 47-32 with 15:48 remaining.
Morris hit another 3-pointer to cut the lead to 50-38, but Marquette answered with a 10-2 run as the lead ballooned to 60-40 with 7:56 left.
Travis Diener added 12 points and Oluoma Nnamaka had 11 for Marquette.
Dayton managed just seven field goals in the second half, including four 3-pointers. Marquette pounded Dayton on the boards in the second half, 20-7.
Marquette trailed early, taking its first lead when Diener's 3-pointer capped a 10-3 run that gave the Golden Eagles their first lead, 20-17 midway through the first half.
Henry kept Marquette close early, scoring 10 of the Golden Eagles' first 16 points.
