December 8, 2001, Bradley Center Milwaukee, Wis. Notes - Marquette is now 11-1 all-time versus Fordham
- Marquette led at halftime (39-23) for the fifth consecutive game and the seventh time this season, it was the second highest first-half output this year (50 pts., vs. Chicago State was highest).
- The Golden Eagles shot better than .500 (.566, 30-53) for the third straight and fourth time this season. The team's 56.6% mark from the floor represented the highest mark of the year.
- With 16 points, Dwayne Wade continued his streak of double figure scoring to nine games. Cordell Henry finished in double figures (12) for the fourth consecutive game and eighth of the campaign. Oluoma Nnamaka scored in double figures (10) for the fourth time this season and the second consecutive game
- David Diggs is shooting 52.6% (10-19) from the 3-point line this season
- Marquette head coach Tom Crean called the starting combination of Wade, Townsend, Henry, Harris, Nnamaka for the fourth consecutive game
- Fordham's 19 offensive rebounds are the most allowed by Marquette since the first game of the season against Loyola (19), their 12 defensive rebounds are the least allowed by Marquette all season (previously 16 vs. Gonzaga)
- Dwayne Wade led the team in assists (7) for the fifth time this season and had more than two steals for the sixth time this season.
- Marquette was out rebounded for the fourth time this season
- For the third time this season, Dwayne Wade led Marquette in points, rebounds and assists
- Travis Diener had a season high three offensive rebounds and six free throws. Diener went two-of-two from three-point range and ran his consecutive streak of games to nine with at least one trey to his credit.
