The Marquette women's track team is traveling to three different locations for meets this weekend. The team will be running at the Sea Ray Relays against Tennessee (Thursday, Friday and Saturday), at the LSU Invite against the No. 4 ranked Tigers (Saturday), as well as at the UW-Whitewater Invite (Friday).
The Golden Eagles are coming off of a second place finish last weekend at the Cardinal Challenge in Louisville. The women set three new school records during the meet. Senior Megan Kosman set a new school record in the 100-meter hurdles. She finished second with a time of 14.12. She also set a school record in the pole vault, vaulting herself 10-0 and finishing third. Also setting a school record was junior Bethany Harry, who finished second in the steeplechase with a time of 11:01.03. That time is good for a provisional NCAA spot.
Finishing fourth in the 100-meter hurdles was junior Jeannette Batie, whose personal- best time of 14.28 was good for the No. 4 spot on the all-time list. Freshman Brianna Dahm also set a personal best, finishing third in the steeplechase with a time of 11:10.31. That time places her behind Harry on the all-time list. Sophomore Missy Detzner vaulted herself to second on the all-time list, right behind Kosman, with a vault of 6-11.75.
