Milwaukee -- Incoming Marquette University basketball recruit Travis Diener has been chosen to Parade Magazine's 45th annual All-America High School Boys Basketball Team.
Diener, who completed his senior season at Fond du Lac High in 2001, was selected to the magazine's All-America Fourth Team. The lone player from the state of Wisconsin to be named to any of the four teams, Diener averaged 21.2 points, 7.5 assists and shot 44 percent from three-point range in helping his prep squad to an overall record of 22-2 and a share of the Fox Valley Association championship. The 6-foot Diener was an unanimous first-team selection to the Wisconsin All-State Team as chosen by both the Associated Press and Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
In January, Diener was ranked as the No. 31 player in the nation by analyst Bob Gibbons and as the 41st cager in the country by Clark Francis.
