Women's Soccer Fall Slate Announced

MILWAUKEE - Marquette's women's soccer schedule for the 2001 season has been announced and it features eight home matches plus the Conference USA Tournament.
The Golden Eagles kick off the season at home against Oakland at 8:15 p.m. on Aug. 31. That contest is a double header in which the Wis.-Milwaukee women's team will matchup with Iowa as part of the Milwaukee Classic.
On Aug. 25, Marquette will get its tune-up at home against Purdue in an exhibition contest.
Marquette will play 10 conference matches and will host the conference tournament, in which the top eight teams will qualify for the event. The C-USA tournament winner will advance to the NCAA Tournament.
Marquette won 20 games for the first time in school history and will be seeking its third straight trip to the NCAA Tournament.
