Marquette Men's Basketball Trio Earn Diplomas

Milwaukee -- Brian Wardle, John Mueller and Greg Clausen, senior members on the 2000-01 Marquette men's basketball team, received their undergraduate degrees at the university commencement ceremonies held on May 20.
Wardle, who closed out his career as Marquette's No. 3 and Conference USA's No. 2 all-time leading scorer with 1,690 points, received his degree in communications. Mueller, who appeared in 103 games and who started 56 of the team's 58 games his during his junior and senior seasons, majored in biomedical engineering. Clausen, a four-year letterwinner who played in 106 contests and who earned the team's "Hit The Deck" Award in 2000-01, earned his degree in communications.
With this year's graduating class, Marquette has now seen 37 of 38 men's basketball players you have completed their eligibility earn diplomas over the past 12 years.
"What has happened here graduation-wise over the years is a great tribute to our previous players, Tom Ford (Asst. AD/Academics) and LaToya Ingram," said Coach Crean. "I am extremely proud of Brian, John and Greg, as well as Brian Barone who graduated last year and took graduate classes this past season. I'm very eager to follow their careers in whatever path they choose. They have done a great job representing Marquette and everybody should be proud of them."
