The Marquette men's track team had three top five finishers on the first day of events at the Central Collegiate Conference Championships hosted by Western Michigan University Friday.
Marquette's Greg Uher won the Discus Throw with a toss of 176 feet 7 inches. His throw was ten feet better than the next competitor and earned the Golden Eagles ten points.
Heath Roussel's toss throw of 177 feet in the Hammer Throw finals was good enough for fifth place honors. Roussel earned the team five points.
On the track side, Salvatore Graziano finshed the 10,000 meter race with a time of 33:31.51. His fifth place finished gave the Golden Eagles four points.
The CCCs conclude Saturday with a full slate of field and running events, beginning at 11:00 a.m.
