Men's Track Has Strong Showing at Central Collegiates

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Marquette men's track team picked up three wins and six top three finishes at the 76th Central Collegiate Conference Championships at Western Michigan University. Marquette finished fourth in the team standings, but had a remarkable showing considering it entered just nine of the 20 events and abstained from the relay events.
MU's wins came from Ryan Jacobson in the 800 meters (1:53.04), Joe Herrington in the 5,000 meters (14:33.79) and Greg Uher in the discus (176'-7").
The Golden Eagles also had strong performances from Marek Krawczyk in the 400 meters with a second place finish (47.57), Luke Kunze in the 1,500 meters in second (3:53.14) and Nic Wucherer third in the 110 hurdles (15.01).
Marquette continues its season May 10-12 with the Conference USA Championships in Tampa, Fla.
