Women's Soccer Team Receives Academic Award

MISSION, Kan. - For the sixth straight year, Marquette women's soccer team has won the Academic Team Award presented by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.
The award is presented to a team whose soccer teams compiled a minimum of a 3.0 grade point average for the 2000-01 academic year and whose coaches are current NSCAA members. The teams represent all levels of play, from NCAA Division I to NAIA and junior college. Marquette is one of 229 teams (men and women) to be honored with the award.
Four other Conference USA women's soccer teams - UAB, Cincinnati, Saint Louis and Southern Miss - also earned the award.
