NEW ORLEANS, La. (AP) - Dwyane Wade scored 24 points and Cordell Henry's 17 points included a shot that gave Marquette a late lead it would not relinquish as the Golden Eagles edged Tulane 68-66 in a Conference USA game Tuesday night.
Marquette (18-3 overall, 7-1 CUSA) extended its winning streak to seven games, while Tulane (11-8, 3-5) lost its third straight game to a conference opponent.
The game was tied six times and the lead changed 13 times until a jump shot by Henry gave Marquette a 60-58 lead that stood up the rest of the way. From that point, Tulane was forced to foul and Marquette hit all eight of its foul shots to seal the victory.
Tulane hit a pair of 3-point goals in the final 10 seconds of the game, but the game had already been decided on Marquette's foul shooting.
Linton Johnson led Tulane with 14 points, Brandon Brown and Nick Sinville had 13 apiece and Brandon Spann added 10 points for the Green Wave.
