MU in Eighth after First Round of Robbins Intercollegiate

MILLINGTON, Tenn -- Marquette is in eight place of the 16 team Hillman Robbins Intercollegiate. The Golden Eagles fired two rounds of 614 (+38). South Alabama leads the tournament at 588 (+12).

Senior Matt Hilton and sophomore Nathan Colson lead the way for the Golden Eagles. Hilton, MU's leading scorer is in a tie for 11th after firing rounds of 74 and 76 to sit at six-over, 150. Colson had a better first round at 73. He shot 77 in the second round to sit in 11th place.

South Alabama's Ryan Gildersleeve, winner of the last tournament MU was in, leads the field at two-under, 142.

Freshman Steve Sass is in 44th place at 156. Freshman Kyle Murphy is in 53rd at a 158; and freshman Ryan Weber is in 74th at 166.
