Women's Soccer Spring Schedule Announced

MILWAUKEE -- Head coach Markus Roeders has announced the Marquette University women's soccer schedule for the spring. The slate is highlighted by matches against the Mexican National Team, Notre Dame and Illinois.
Marquette started its spring season on March 2 with a three-school, six squad tournament at the University of Wisconsin. Along with Wis.-Milwaukee, the three schools each fielded two squads and play was conducted in round robin format.
The Golden Eagles return to action after spring break. MU takes on the Mexican National team in its highlight of the spring. Marquette and Mexico play at Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Ind. on March. 23, at 10 a.m..
Two weekends later, MU hosts Notre Dame on April 6. The Golden Eagles and Fighting Irish will compete at Valley Fields starting at 3 p.m. MU will take on a group of alumni players at 6 p.m. that same day.
On April 13, MU will travel to the University of Illinois to take on the Fighting Illini at noon and Illinois State at 4 p.m.
MU concludes its spring season on April 27 with a home tournament at Valley Fields near the MU campus. Northwestern, Wis.-Milwaukee and Wis.-Green Bay will visit MU for exhibition action. The schedule and start time has not been set.
Marquette is coming off a season in which it went 16-6, finished second in Conference USA and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the third straight season.
