19. Utah Ryan Humphrey
I thought that they would go with Dan Dickau, but here is an example of a guy who played well in Chicago and in his workouts. It is a high-energy draft and he really fit the bill. His football background will help him
20. Toronto Kareem Rush
He will help the Raptors because he can score. He will be another Morris Peterson on that team. He spaces the defense. I really like this pick. Not many players have a first step like his.
21. Portland Qyntel Woods
How good would have been Memphis been? Portland takes a lot of potential guys. Bonzi Wells is an example of that who has done well. He will need a lot of time to develop but when he does, he'll be something. John Calipari thinks he will be a special player.
22. Phoenix Casey Jacobsen
He does have great shooting skills and he plays hard. I thought that he might slip out of the first round.
23. Detroit Tayshaun Prince
Kevin O'Neill will help him with his defense but he can really shoot it from deep. He plays harder than most people realize. He has a huge upside.
24. New Jersey Neda Kristic
Don't know much about him. But if New Jersey is drafting him, there is little doubt that he can pass, shoot and has a good understanding the game.
25. Denver Frank Williams
This sounds like this is a pick that could result in a trade down the road. When Frank decides that he wants to play, he is very good. The key for him in the NBA will be playing hard every night.
26. San Antonio John Salmons
He shot up the charts during his workouts. He is a four-year starter whose team won a lot. He has been in a great league and, again, he will bring versatility and toughness to the table.
27. Los Angeles Lakers Chris Jefferies
Is a versatile and athletic player. Another example of a high-energy player being picked. Teams are building their benches with these type of players. A couple of years ago, nobody ever heard of Devean George, but he helped the Lakers to a championship this year.
28. Sacramento Dan Dickau
Dan Dickau was probably the best pure point guard in the draft. He knows how to run a team, has good quickness and will play in the league for a long time. His trade to Atlanta was good for the Hawks and for my old friend, Mateen Cleaves.
