Women's Soccer Receives Academic Team Award

MILWAUKEE ? The Marquette women's soccer team received the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2002-03 school year. Awards are handed out to schools who have a combined grade point average of 3.0 for the academic year. Marquette had a grade point average of 3.37 last season.
This is the eight season in a row that Marquette has received the award, each year that Markus Roeders has been the head coach.
"Our players continue to strive for excellence in the classroom and on the field. As coaches, we are proud of their academic accomplishments and appreciate the hard work they put forth to be outstanding students at Marquette University," Roeders said.
The 2002-03 team was highlighted academically by the selection of six players as an NSCAA All-Region Scholar Athlete.
