Danielle Fitzgerald Joins Marquette Athletic Department Staff

Milwaukee -- Danielle Fitzgerald has joined the Marquette University Athletic Department as Assistant Athletic Director For Compliance. Fitzgerald assumes the position previously held by Kathryn Statz.

Fitzgerald comes to Marquette after having worked at Creighton University as both a coach and administrator since 1997. After graduating with bachelor's degree in journalism from Creighton in 1997, she joined the school's softball staff as an assistant coach for four years. In 1999, she added the title of Assistant Compliance Coordinator to her softball responsibilities. In July of 2001, she was then appointed as the school's Compliance Coordinator and External Operations Assistant. During her tenure at Creighton, she also worked as an assistant academic advisor.

Fitzgerald, a native of Portland, Oregon, was a member of Creighton's softball team from 1995-97 and garnered academic all-conference honors during her playing career.
