Nathan Colson Finishes Third At Wisconsin Amateur Golf Championship

MILWAUKEE -- Marquette University junior golfer Nathan Colson (Plymouth, Wis.) turned in a third-place finish at the Wisconsin State Amateur Championship. The final round was played on Thursday (July 24) at the Blue Mound Golf & Country Club.
Colson fired an even-par 70 in Thursday's action giving him a an even-par total of 280. Brian Brodell took home first-place honors with an effort of 275 while Ryan Quinn was runner-up at 279. In addition, a pair of veteran MU golfers placed in the top 10. Junior Steve Sass placed in a tie for seventh at 290. Sophomore Kyle Murphy also finished among the top 10 scores with a 291, tying him for ninth place.
