A Fresh New Start

Hello again to all of our faithful fans, friends, and family! It is Monica Frede, your play-by-play MC for this 2005-2005 basketball season. I trust you have all found ways to fill your time somehow these past few months since you haven't been able to follow your Golden Eagles around week by week. Well, we are back, we are a new team, and we are ready for our fresh new start!
It was a very good offseason for all of us. We added three talented players to our team, "V", Savanna (possibly "Van," or "Sav", we haven't finalized a nickname yet) and "AJ." We are running out of letters to use ... V and Savanna are true freshman, and AJ is a transfer player. We are very excited to have them as part of our family.
Our pre-season is officially over, and we are all looking forward to starting practice on Saturday. It was a great off season, everyone worked very hard. Most of the team was on campus for much of the summer, so we got an opportunity to play together and work out together. We had three weeks off at the end of the summer to go home and spend time with our families, and that was definetly a blessing!
It's time to get back into gear ... we have a lot of goals we set for this season, and we are ready for the success this season is going to bring us.
