Kimberley Todd Named C-USA Player-of-the-Week

Freshman outside hitter honored by league
MILWAUKEE ? Marquette freshman outside hitter Kimberley Todd was named Conference USA Player-of-the-Week, the league office announced. Todd is the first freshman to earn C-USA Player of the Week honors this season as she helped the Golden Eagles to a weekend sweep of USF and UAB.
Todd set a collegiate best with 24 kills in a 3-1 win over USF on Friday night, bettering her previous collegiate high by 10 kills. She followed that performance 11 kills against UAB on Saturday. She averaged a team best 5.0 kills per game and hit 37.5 percent during the week. She also had the most points of any Marquette player during the week, scoring 38.5 points, an average of 5.5 per game.
Todd?s nomination is the third for the Marquette volleyball team this season. Senior setter Sarah Vernon has been named C-USA Setter-of-the-Week twice this season, including last week.
Marquette returns to action on Friday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. against Houston at the Al McGuire Center.
