Goranson Named C-USA Offensive Player of the Week

MILWAUKEE -- Marquette junior Heather Goranson (Germantown, Wis./Germantown) was named Conference USA Co-Offensive Player-of-the-Week today.

Goranson scored two game-winning goals over the weekend as the Golden Eagles extended their win streak to four straight matches. Goranson scored the team's lone goals in 1-0 victories at Memphis on Friday and against Tulane on Sunday.

This is the first such honor for Goranson who currently has four goals and six assists on the season.

Goranson and the Golden Eagles will take on Wisconsin at Valley Fields on Wednesday at 7 p.m. Marquette will play at Saint Louis in the C-USA regular-season finale on Saturday before returning to Saint Louis for the C-USA Tournament that begins Nov. 3.
