Marquette Women's Soccer Earns Team Academic Award

The Marquette women's soccer team received the NSCAA Team Academic Award for the 2003-04 school year. Awards are handed out to schools who have a combined grade point average of 3.0 for the academic year. Marquette had a grade point average of 3.33 last season.
This is the ninth season in a row that Marquette has received the award, each year that Markus Roeders has been the head coach.
"Our players continue to strive for excellence in the classroom and on the field. We value and appreciate this now as coaches and know our student athletes will appreciate it in the future," Roeders said.
Overall, Marquette had 28 out of 32 women's soccer players have at least a 3.0 GPA during the 2003-04 season.
