Bouncing Back from Notre Dame

This past week, we played Notre Dame at the Al. The Irish ended our undefeated streak at "The Al." This was very disappointing, because the game was lost in the closing seconds. Danielle Kamm hit a big time shot for us with only a few seconds left, but then Notre Dame hit the game winning three-pointer just before the buzzer. It was a game that we wanted so bad, and a game we knew we could have won. But, like the character of this team, we will keep fighting and we will get back on the winning streak this week.
We play St. Bonaventure today, Tuesday, at The Al. St. Bonaventure is a team that we lost to last year, and this game is a chance for us to get back on track for our winning tradition on our home court. It is the last game before Christmas break, and we want nothing more then to go home for Christmas with a win. After break, we travel to San Diego for a tournament. It's hard to believe that our non-conference schedule is almost finished, but we still have some work to do.
Playing games around Christmas time is good for a lot of reasons, but one such reasons is the treats and gifts that our family and friends always supplies the 12 of us with. Thank you to those who have donated to the "poor college" fund! The pumpkin bars (Mrs. Kieger) and the candy canes ("lil' Q") are sitting in our locker room, slowly diminishing as we speak.
Come to the Al tonight and watch us take on St. Bonaventure - and then you can all focus on Christmas.
Merry Christmas!
