Diener Tops 1,000 Career Points

Marquette To Honor Glenn ?Doc? Rivers
??????????? Marquette University will retire the jersey of former standout Glenn ?Doc? Rivers during a halftime ceremony on Saturday.? Rivers played three years at Marquette before being drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in the second round of the 1983 NBA Draft.?
??????????? A 1982 Converse All American, Rivers ranks third all-time at Marquette in steals, sixth in assists and 23rd in scoring.? He still holds the freshman season records for points, scoring average, field-goals made, field-goal percentage and steals.
??????????? Rivers will become only the sixth player in the program?s history to receive the honor, joinng Don Kojis, George Thompson, Dean Meminger, Butch Lee and Bo Ellis.
