Marquette to Honor 1974 NCAA Team

In honor of the thirtieth anniversary of Marquette's first trip to the Final Four, the 1974 Men?s Basketball team will be recognized by the Marquette community during halftime of Saturday?s game against Tulane.

After dispatching powers such as sixth-ranked Vanderbilt, 13th-ranked Michigan and sixth-ranked Kansas from the tournament, Marquette was upended by North Carolina State, 76-64 in the Championship game.

On hand for Saturday?s festivities will be a number of players and coaches from the squad, including Hank Raymonds, Bo Ellis, Maurice Lucas, Earl Tatum and Lloyd Walton.
