Dwyane Wade Bobblehead Night
3/2/2004 12:00:00 AM | Men's Basketball
Only the second bobblehead give-away in Golden Eagles? history (following Head Coach Tom Crean in 2003), the bobblehead features Wade dribbling a basketball over the Al McGuire Court center-court circle.
A 2002-03 Associated Press First Team All-American, Wade has already been the subject of a bobblehead doll, as his selection with the fifth pick of the 2003 NBA Draft was commemorated by the Miami Heat.
A limited supply of bobbleheads will be available for fans in attendance at Wednesday?s Conference USA game. Tip-off between Marquette and East Carolina is scheduled for 7 p.m.
From the Bobblehead package ...
One of the most decorated players in Marquette Basketball history, Dwyane Wade had a profound and successful impact during his three-year affiliation with the Golden Eagles? program. Wade helped lead Marquette to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances, including a spot in the 2003 Final Four, as well as the 2002-03 Conference USA Regular Season Championship.
Behind his leadership and stellar play from 2001 to 2003, Marquette?s 53-13 mark was the sixth best among NCAA Division I programs over that period of time.
