Golfers Move Up One Spot at C-USA Championships

DADE CITY, Fla. ? Marquette moved up one spot after the second round of the Conference USA Men's Golf Championships in Dade City, Fla. The Golden Eagles, 11th after day one, shot a combined 296 to move up to 10th for the tournament. Marquette is four strokes off the sixth place total of Tulane.
For Marquette, sophomore Kyle Murphy shot an even par to pace the team. He currently holds the low card for Marquette. Murphy sits in a tie for 15th place, shooting a 149 (+5).
Adam Meyer continues to hold the the top spot in the individual portion of the event after shooting a three-under, 69, giving him a two-day total of seven-under, 137. Meyer is the only player to shoot under par during the first two days of the tournament as he continues to hold the top spot on the individual leader board, seven shots ahead of the rest of the field.
With Meyer?s consistent shooting, TCU continues to hold to its overall lead with a two-day total of 572, now 15 strokes ahead of second place Charlotte.
Southern Miss sits alone in third place with a two-day total of 591. UAB sits in fourth place at 594, just ahead of USF at 597. Tulane (601), Louisville (602), East Carolina (603), Houston (604) and Marquette (605), respectively, hold down spots 6-10 in the tourney, while Saint Louis (608), Memphis (609), Cincinnati (628) and DePaul (640) stand in spots 11-14.
Rounding out Marquette's total, Joe Weber is in 29th place with a 151; Nathan Colson is in 39th place with a 153; Michael Bielawski moved up to 51st place with 156; and Steve Sass is in 58th place with a 157.
The final round of play begins at 7:45 a.m. EST on Wednesday.
