Quaye, Kieger Named Second Team All C-USA

CHARLOTTE, N.C. ? Marquette junior guard Carolyn Kieger and sophomore center Christina Quaye were named second team All-Conference USA, the league announced.
The selection to all-conference squads is the first for both players.
Quaye is Marquette's leading scorer, entering the C-USA Tournament with a 15.5 points per game average. She had four games with 20 or more points in C-USA play, scoring 21 against Saint Louis and UAB. She also cored 20 against Southern Miss and Tulane. She set her career high with 26 against Mississippi and 20 against Notre Dame and Penn State. She also led the team in rebounding at 7.0 per game.
Kieger leads Conference USA in assists with 6.3 per game. She is three points shy of collecting 1,000 for her career and is second on the team in scoring at 12.0 per game. She had 11 C-USA games with 10 or more points (20 overall), including 17 against TCU and 14 against Houston and Saint Louis. She recorded a double-double against TCU with 17 points, 10 rebounds and had a career best seven steals with 11 points and seven assists against Southern Miss. Additionally, she hit 32 free throws in a row in C-USA play. For her career, she has moved into third all-time at Marquette in assists.
Marquette opens the Conference USA Tournament on Thursday, March 3 at 8:30 p.m. EST against UAB.
