Marquette to face TCU in C-USA Tournament

March 9, 2005 ? The ninth-seeded Marquette (19-10) men?s basketball team will face eighth-seeded TCU (18-12 today at Noon CT in the opening round of the Kelly Tires Conference USA Tournament in Memphis. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN 2.
A rematch of last year?s eight vs. nine conference tournament opening round game in which TCU pulled out a 64-62 victory, Marquette has dropped three straight to the Horned Frogs, including last month?s one-point thriller in Fort Worth, 63-62.
The Golden Eagles trail the overall series with TCU, 3-2. The last three games have been decided by a total of nine points.
MU will be playing its fourth game in a row, and seventh of the season, without all-American Travis Diener. Diener suffered a season-ending left hand injury on February 22.
The Golden Eagles are 10-8 all-time in C-USA Tournament games.
