Dahm Takes Seventh at NCAA Championships

Senior has highest career finish
SACRAMENTO, Calif. ? Senior Brianna Dahm, competing in her third NCAA Championships, placed a career best seventh place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. The seventh-place finish earned her All-American status for the second time in her career.
Dahm completed the course in a season best time of 10:08.79.
Butler's Victoria Mitchell won the event, finishing in a time of 9:54.32.
Dahm placed eighth in the event in 2003, her junior season. In 2002, she placed 18th.
The raced capped a stellar career for Dahm, a two-time All-American in the 3,000-meter Steeplechase. She also finished her career as an all-region cross country performer, Conference USA Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Year in 2003, C-USA Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Year in 2002, and a four-time all-conference selection in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track. She was a five-time C-USA Academic Medal recipient, for having a GPA of over 3.75. she was also a Cross Country and Track and Field Academic All-American.
